The mine and the town share a century-long past and a promising future, and so it is fitting that we celebrate the occasion together. You are invited you to join us on the day to commemorate these significant landmarks in our local history:

Community mine-site visits 08.30am – 11.30am Main street entertainment activities and markets 08.30am – 4.00pm Official opening ceremony, followed by complimentary refreshments - Old Picture Hall - 1.30pm to 4.00pm
(Westonia Tavern will be open for normal business from 4.00pm onwards)
MAIN STREET ACTIVITIES AND DISPLAYS:
A host of activities is planned for the day including a jumping castle and climbing wall, face painting and more for children; while adults can enjoy local art and craft and antique stalls, photographic & artwork displays, a mining exhibition, gold-panning, a truck display, live entertainment and much more.
If you are interested in holding a stall please register your interest with your stall details to the RSVP details list. The committee will then review and allocate a stall location and number.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the Eziway store which will be open all day, and complimentary refreshments will be available at the Old Picture Theatre following Catalpa’s official opening ceremony.
MINE SITE TOURS:
Mine-site tours will be conducted between 8.30am and 11.30am, with the last bus departing at 11am. Please wear appropriate personal protective clothing such as a long sleeve shirt, full length pants, and closed shoes, preferably steel caps. Other personal protective equipment such as hard-hats, safety glasses and high visibility vest will be supplied.

Entry Requirements: To register your interest in participating, please RSVP (contact info below) by 30 July. All participants are to then register their details in the morning (1 August) at the Westonia Shire stall.
PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION

Entry Requirements: Please enter your photographs in a frame that can be hung on a wall. Photographs can be hand-delivered or mailed to the Shire of Westonia. All photographs will be available for pick-up at the Shire of Westonia after the event. If you are unable to pick up your photograph we will mail it back to you. Please submit a registration form with all photographic entries. The form is available below and entry forms will also be available in The Westonian newsletter in coming weeks
ACCOMMODATION
Please register your interest if you wish to stay the weekend at Westonia in a camp or swag at the recreation hall. Limited accommodation available, please ensure you book to secure a place.
